blogging = hard work

i have decided while blogging is really fun... in order to get great pictures/ look good...
it takes a lot of work.
we had a wedding on saturday and took the following pictures.  it was hard work
to get all the details down.

friday:
mani/pedi after work

saturday:
shower in the am
errands and final outfit touches
getting ready - curl hair and make up
getting dressed - accessories
touchups - perfume and lipstick
and out the door at 5:45

final product

-me nails dress watch lips - vibrant coral
- hubby jacket polo - deep ultramarine pants

there has to be a secret for how all of the bloggers look so amazing all of the time...
i will google "tricks to blogging"

i would say they get ready then change outfits and take several pictures all in one day...
but their nail polish is different so i know it is a different day

obsessed with trish

I recently went to my local Blue Mercury on the hunt for my "summer makeup routine".  It has been hard this year for me to find any makeup I love.  But I just purchased my first Trish planner.

It has been a bathroom counter saver.  ALL of my makeup and tools fit in here. What a great idea!  I love to be organized and always found myself digging around in the bottom of my makeup bag looking for different things.  Now everything has a place... obsessed.

There are some additional makeup items I don't use everyday that I got this cute little makeup bag to store them in.

I also found one of the lightest foundations and concealer combinations... thanks to Trish McEvoy.  I apply the concealer under my eyes and the foundation everywhere else.

Here is my updated look! <3

craving accessoires

lately i have been caring more about accessories than clothes.
once you have a few basics you can dress them up or down and add sass with accessories.
saw this bracelet today and was inspired to create an outfit around it.
enjoy!

bedroom inspirations

hubby and i went mattress shopping for the first time yesterday and of course ended up buying a new king size bed. while i am very excited... i have begun to panic about its arrival.  we just decorated our bedroom when we got married in december.  luckily i will have a fully furnished and designed guest bedroom.

so we opted to buy just the mattress and bed frame for now.  i am determine to design our new bedroom using some contemporary/ nautical/ southern prep/ minimalist inspirations.  i have decided the clutter needs to leave the bedroom... thanks cupcakesandcashmere.

so i think i have decided on navy, white, and light teal/ porcelain blue
i am torn between chain, chevron, and quatrefoil for my pattern

i am thinking white sheets with navy/ or teal monogram (southern)

sheets

navy throw (nautical)

navy throw

euro pillow shams as a headboard (contemporary)

chevron pillow

maybe both

chain and chevron pillow

teal coverlet

trina turk coverlet

simple night stand (minimalist)

nightstand option

nightstands

quatrefoil lamp

what are your thoughts??

It was such a fun relaxing weekend.

But since then I have been dreaming about a few new items for my summer wardrobe.

New bikini!

New bracelet!

New dress!

Happy Friday eve!  Hope everyone has a great weekend planned.

After Tax Season Dreaming

Headed to the Sanctuary at Kiaway for the weekend after tax season.  I would love to take this with me... now to find a perfect swimsuit for the day by the pool.
